Continuing Education

I want to share something with you guys that is very near and dear to my heart, something that takes a giant leap forward in the actualization of education as the great equalizer: free online undergraduate courses.

In school and VISTA, we often say that students should become lifetime learners, that they should learn to love learning and never stop, usually in the middle of our 40-hour work week during which we become so bogged down and beaten up by life that we come home, prop our feet up and anesthetize the boredom and frustration with a heavy dose of television. I think it's high time that we threw out our excuses and embraced our first love--the pursuit of knowledge.

Continuing to expand your educational horizons in this way not only lives up to that lifelong commitment, but it makes you more diverse and interesting. Why not make the time? As for me, I've already decided I can have it all. And I'm starting my first courseload this summer. Keep on keeping on, friends!
